29 Chinese fishermen are being held for ransom after being kidnapped by a group of armed North Koreans earlier this month in the Yellow Sea.

The fishermen were working in three separate vessels in Chinese waters when they were seized on May 8 by armed North Koreans. The kidnappers took the boats to North Korean territory and demanded a ransom of $190,000.

The list of kidnapped fishermen was posted on the Internet.

The kidnappers, whose identities remain unclear, demanded that the payment be made in Dandong city in Liaoning province, which borders North Korea. Media speculated that the seizure could be a conspiracy by some North Korean officials and organized gangs in Dandong.

It is said the three fishing boats were captured at gunpoint while trawling in Chinese waters. He believed the boats were being held in North Korea. The hijackers were holding guns. No one dared resist. The fishermen are now being locked in a tiny house with no food.

The record of navigation path of Laodanyu 23527 shows that the boat has not crossed the 124 degrees east longitude(the purple line), which means the boat remains fishing in China’s water.

Chinese fishing vessels have been involved in several clashes with neighboring authorities in recent years in disputed waters. But it is unclear whether the North Korean gunmen were security forces from the isolated regime.

Beijing has launched a 100-day campaign to “clean out” “Three Nons (or Three Illegals)” foreigners  living or working illegally in the city in Beijing from May 15 to the end of this August.

“Three Nons” refers to those  foreigners who have either entered the country illegally or are living or working in the city without the Chinese visas.

Reportedly, there are nearly 200 thousand foreigners in Beijing every day.With an increasing number of foreigners melting into the China’s society, illegal foreign hooligans were mixed among them too, watching for the opportunity to engage in illegal and criminal activities. Police records reveal that foreigners without income, a permanent abode and a job are more likely to commit illegal acts in the city.

Although not officially confirmed, the campaign is believed to be linked to the detention of a British man who allegedly attempted to sexually assault a Chinese woman on the side of a road in downtown Beijing on May 8.

Beijing police arrested a man who stole a medal of honor awarded to Hu Lian, the late Taiwan general and commander of Kinmen Island defense forces.

Qiao Zhaoqing, the 77-year-old suspect, is a Heilongjiang resident who was on a 40-person tour group leaving for Taiwan on April 29, and he visited the island as the last stop on the trip.

The stolen medal- awarded to late general Hu Lian in 1943 for his leadership and courage during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1937-45) – had been sealed in a display case in Juguang Tower, the symbol of Jinmen Island and a popular tourist spot.

It is said that similar medals can fetch up to 1 million yuan ($154,000) in China.

                          

Northeast China Harbin Cityhas recently introduced a policy that prohibits residents from raising 49 breeds of large and dangerous dogs (Learn how to train your dog fastly and easily!) including Tibetan mastiffs, German Shepherds, Chinese rural dogs, Samoyeds and so on, in order to ensure personal safety and preserve public order.

Dogs should be dealt by raisers by October 31, 2012, or they will be fined for 10,000 to 20,000 RMB. After the dogs are confiscated, there should be 1,000 RMB per day for management fee.

The new policy prohibits the keeping of the following breeds:

The regulation has been questioned by dog owners who have appealed for rights for their pet dogs.

They may bite people, and they are not our partners, hence the regulation. For the authorities, they just want to avoid trouble by preventing dogs from biting people.

Many dog owners don’t even get their dogs examined and vaccinated regularly. So I suggest canceling the regulation which prohibits raising dogs and carrying out stricter punishment on dog owners who have bad dog-raising habits.

The group is just a very ordinary animation society, One time in a show, several female students of the group happened to be away, but the show time was very pressed, so several boys had to play girls on the stage, what surprised them is that the performance received very good results. Back to school, they set up a cross-gender group, specifically playing girls.

The group has strict requirements for recruiting new members. “Legs must be thin and long, the body can not be too big and face should be delicate and handsome.” In the beginning, not many people signed up, but after several performances the group became famous in colleges, more and more people wanted to join in.

Group member “Haoge” said, usually he will humbly ask his girlfriend to teach him how to walk, speak and pout like a girl, then he will teach other members. It is known that this “cross dresser group” is kind of well known inWuhanand often received a number of performing invitation; the fee for showing up is 500 Yuan per person each.
